MEET THE BAND

Tezza-1849.jpg

The classic rock band Goldmine was founded over a shared love of the “golden” era of rock-and-roll music. Based in Pensacola, FL, each of the band’s members has been performing professionally for over eight years.  In the summer of 2020, they combined forces to create Goldmine. Since their beginning, the band has been playing at festivals and venues all around the Greater Gulf Coast area. With a distinctly retro vibe, Goldmine’s shows transport audiences back to a time when everything felt just a little bit groovier. From Fleetwood Mac to Janis Joplin, Joan Jett to Blondie, Led Zeppelin to Journey, Goldmine plays a unique variety of rock and roll hits that audiences of all generations enjoy. Vocalist Tris Weeks, Bassist Max Levesque, and drummer Jensen Cadenhead all studied at the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music at the University of West Florida. Lead guitarist Chris Crowley is a life-long multi-instrumentalist. This spring in Nashville, Goldmine is recording their debut EP with the producer of the music of Kelly Clarkson and Mumford and Sons. Look for it on streaming platforms later this year!

Singer/songwriter Tris has had a deep love of music since she was a small child. Her first performance was at the age of three, and since then, her passion and dedication have continued to grow. Tris has spent the majority of her years learning and preparing in rehearsals and private lessons. At the age of eight, she landed a role in the Broadway touring production of The Wizard of Oz. From there she had stage performances too numerous to count! She went on to intensively study rock vocals and songwriting at the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts in Northern Michigan. Tris has been performing professionally since the age of 14. Tris Weeks plays guitar and piano and is classically trained in voice. She loves vintage eras and is heavily influenced by 60's and 70’s classic rock. She has been invited for several years to take part in the Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival and was featured in the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival. Awarded by Imagine Dragons for her philanthropic and creative work, last year she opened for an Allman Brothers Tribute featuring original members of the band at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. Tris is busy these days singing in the university choir and performing weekly in a contemporary church band. She is thrilled to be the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Goldmine.

Multi-instrumentalist Chris Crowley has a deep love of music his whole life. Growing up playing in some of Pensacola’s most esteemed orchestras, he is classically trained in upright bass.  Playing this instrument, along with electric bass, drums, mandolin, and guitar, he has been performing professionally in venues along the Gulf Coast for the past six years. Chris has become well-known as one of the best professional musicians-for-hire in Northwest Florida. He’s played at just about all the area venues; from the Pensacola Saenger Theatre to Vinyl Music Hall. He is a regular at events such as Pensacola Gallery Night and Blues on the Bay and has become an integral part of the music scene along the Emerald Coast. Chris says he’s influenced by so many of the musical ‘greats’. Johnny Cash, Green Day, Pink Floyd, and Metallica are some of his favorites, but he loves to play them all. Chris is an extremely diverse talent and is delighted to be the lead guitarist for Goldmine.
